　　“十一五”开局的2006年，广州汽车产业界热闹非凡，再谱汽车产业发展的新篇章。广汽丰田“凯美瑞”成功下线，上市以来市场需求一直处于供不应求的状态，年底的月销量已跃居全国中高级轿车单车型上牌量的第一位，被认为是2006年我国汽车产业发展最重要的事件之一。作为国内汽车产业翘楚的广州本田发展令人瞩目，现代化环保型的广本增城工厂建成投产，使广州本田产能大幅度地提高，利润总额跃居全国乘用车企业之首，雅阁轿车再度蝉联年度中高级车销售冠军。多品牌出击中国汽车市场的东风日产，延续了2005年高速发展的势头，全年销售汽车净增约10万辆，产销量位于全国主要乘用车企业排名的第九位，成为近两年全国发展最快的乘用车企业之一。作为广州汽车产业龙头老大的广汽集团调整优化结构，推进自主创新，发展步入快车道，集团效益指数居全国同行业榜首，名列2006年度广东大型企业竞争力50强的第一名。全市汽车零部件制造业迅猛增长，汽车研发、汽车贸易、汽车物流、汽车维修与美容等也在加快发展。广州汽车产业链条不断延伸，汽车产业集群加快发展，“三足鼎立”的汽车产业基地格局已经形成。
　　2006年，广州汽车制造业保持快速发展势头，规模以上汽车制造业完成的工业总产值和增长速度均居广州三大支柱产业之首，汽车制造业首次超过石油化工制造业而成为广州第一大支柱产业，成为拉动全市工业及经济增长的最大引擎。2006年规模以上汽车制造业完成工业总产值1 162．23亿元，比2005年增长34．1％，对全市规模以上工业增长的贡献率达26．5％，拉动全市工业增长4．6个百分点。全年广州共生产轿车54．9万辆，占全国轿车总量的14．2％，在全国轿车产区中继续保持第二位。在三大汽车巨头快速发展的带动下，广州汽车零部件制造业高速发展，全年完成工业总产值173．30亿元，同比增长71．0％，已投产的汽车零部件企业达270家，在建180家。展望2007年及“十一五”，广州汽车产业发展仍将高歌猛进，汽车制造业快速发展，汽车产能大幅度提高，汽车服务业全面发展，汽车产业集群效应持续显现，汽车产业竞争力不断提升，汽车产业对广州经济发展的支柱作用进一步提升，并将成为拉动广州经济又好又快发展的强大动力。预计到2010年，广州汽车整车年生产能力将达到130万辆，汽车工业总产值将超过3000亿元。
　　《2007年：中国广州汽车产业发展报告》是我院编辑出版的以广州汽车产业发展为主题的蓝皮书。该书展现2006年广州汽车产业发展的巨大成就，跟踪广州汽车产业发展的动态及热点问题，展望2007年及“十一五”广州汽车产业发展的前景，探讨广州汽车产业发展的对策措施。从书中我们不仅能搜索到广州汽车产业发展的真实轨迹和成绩，也能看到市内外专家、学者对广州及中国汽车产业发展的真知灼见和战略性的建议，同时还能看到国家、广州市出台的关于汽车产业发展的相关规划、政策、信息，以及国内一些省市汽车产业发展的动态和经验。尤其是有全国政协常委邵奇惠研究员、中央政策研究室副主任郑新立研究员等的赐稿，使本书的决策参考价值倍增。
　　《2007年：中国广州汽车产业发展报告》蓝皮书编辑出版的具体工作由我院广州汽车产业研究中心和区域经济研究所完成。广州汽车产业研究中心作为我院的内设机构，现挂靠在我院区域经济研究所内，广州市市长张广宁担任广州汽车产业研究中心的名誉主任。该“中心”成员以我院科研骨干为主，邀请全国汽车产业及经济界的知名专家学者、企业CEO、行业主管领导作为顾问，同时吸收国内高校、科研单位及有关人员作为兼职研究员。我院汽车产业研究中心充分整合广州地区的各种有效资源，围绕广州汽车产业发展这一主题，重点开展汽车产业发展环境、发展规划、发展战略与思路、发展对策以及产业基地建设、产业集群、竞争力等方面的研究，为政府决策服务，为汽车企业发展服务，为广州汽车产业及经济发展服务。利用“中心”这个平台，我们已开展了系列的广州汽车产业课题研究，陆续发表或提交了不少研究成果和论文，但与广州高速发展的汽车产业及作为第一支柱产业地位相比，我们的研究还是显得势单力薄。为此，我们将继续借助“中心”这个平台，广泛联络和凝聚汽车产业界的专家学者，组成广州汽车产业研究的强大队伍，陆续出版年度广州汽车产业发展蓝皮书，开展有关课题研究，为广州汽车产业做大做强贡献智力，共同为“广州打造全国最大的汽车制造基地”添砖加瓦。
　　在广州市委、市政府的领导和支持下，配合广州汽车产业发展的大好形势，以我院广州汽车产业研究中心为主体的研究人员，及时跟踪和研究了广州汽车产业发展的动态，向世人展示广州汽车产业发展的最新成就和态势。北京、天津、武汉等城市的知名专家、学者的参与，使本书增色不少。但由于时间仓促，再加上我们研究能力有限，编辑经验不足，书中难免存在许多错漏之处，望请读者批评和斧正，也欢迎读者给我们赐稿。
